"Vile Vortices" and New OrleansThis is a featured page

Ivan T. Sanderson, in his studies of "ley lines" and phenomena like the Bermuda Triangle, described how our planet, Earth, is girdled by two rings of five each of what he described as "vile vortices" -- with the prime example being the Triangle itself. He theorized that these vortices seemed, more or less, to be aligned with the Tropic of Capricorn and the Tropic of Cancer.
<
His main concept was that just as things like ships and airplanes could disappear into these vortices, so could things from whatever was on the other side could come through. In other words, these vortices work as portals onto our world, and what comes through is seldom if ever "good news" for life on Earth.
<
Sanderson also described that smaller vortices do exist away from these main two rings. These vortices may overlie lakes (water seems to be a factor in where the phenomena will establish itself), or other fairly stable large bodies of water. Ships and aircraft are known to disappear in such areas. Unidentifiable objects are known to use these vortices a portals to enter and leave Earth's dimension.
<
Is there a vile vortice over Lake Pontchartrain to the southern part of the North American continent, where it fronts along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico? The lake is 24 miles wide across the middle, south to north, where the equally lengthy Causeway bridge stands. In the gap between the south shore of the lake and the crescent curve/east bank of the Mississippi River, stands the city of New Orleans.
<
Why should this be of concern? Through one small evangelical group in the African-American community, a member who apparently has prophetic gifts (tested and proven), has spoken of how there is a vast, invisible cloud full of negative energy that overlies the city of New Orleans. The effects are oppressive and spiritually draining.
<
New Orleans is a port city, and has accrued all the unsavory reputation for "wickedness" that port cities have always had, being apparently loaded with political corruption, licentious lifestyles, and non-stop crime. Could there even be "minds" that want to create the upset, just out of sheer meanness or perhaps as a type of experiment?Whatever may be the nature of this cloud/vortex, the people of New Orleans -- or any other city so oppressed -- need to learn to come to grips with it, and dispel it.
<
According to comments coming out of evangelical groups in the city, there is a "cloud" that has parked itself over New Orleans. Whatever it is that is coming through, it does have a negative effect upon the people who live under this it. And from examples from recent history, to dispel such an oppressive influence can be done.
<
In the first couple of years after Hurricane Katrina and the man-made floods that followed it in 2005 demolished 80 per cent of the city, people took heart and were determined to not be depressed about their losses, hurts, and pains. There was a sense of hope that was unique, as I felt it myself, that made the atmosphere of the place become lighter. It was as though the uplift in spirits throughout the city was driving away this "cloud".
<
Sadly, though, the strong impulse of the optimism has begun to diminish, even though it was given a grand boost when the local pro football team won the Superbowl in 2009. The sense of hope has been slipping away as the City returns to its mind-set of being a mecca for tourists and catering to them, while the rest of the populace is given what amounts to -- as some will describe it -- crumbs under the table.
<
While I don't have psychic abilities to speak of, I do have a sense that what is needed is not only a spiritual revival, but a strong leader who can cut through the politics to accomplish good things for New Orleans. Such a leader will kindle the spirit of hope that is sadly missing here, and when people have hope, clouds of oppression will dissipate -- whether those clouds are vile vortices or not.
